Serving All Skin Tones and Types…

Serving a diverse community means serving a diverse range of patient needs. Patients with pigmented skin, hair, and nails have different dermatological concerns. Dr. Wiley has special expertise in skin of color, and has dedicated much of his time to providing individualized, culturally sensitive care for skin conditions common to people of color.

Skin of color doesn't age the same way that light skin does. Likewise, skin damage from the sun doesn't look the same way in dark skin that is does in light skin. And while dark skin people may have fewer wrinkles as they age, they will likely deal with more pigment problems that can cause a different variety of issues. Choosing a doctor that is well versed in dealing with skin of all colors can not only keep your skin looking great, but can prevent problems from occurring in the long run. Selecting the right doctor can make all the difference.

Because we have gone to great lengths to serve all of our patients, we have procedures to cover all skin types and skin colors. Our laser hair removal procedures can serve all skin types from dark to light.

  • Scars (especially Keloids) — excessive scar formation resulting from injury or surgery
  • Ashy Skin (Xerosis) — dry, sensitive skin requiring gentle skin care and strong moisturizers
  • Flesh moles (Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra) — brown moles, most often located on the cheeks, that are common in African-American men and women
